MEETING THE MOMENT
Right now, many American women are carrying more than they should—financial pressure, time constraints, and systems that weren’t built with us in mind. The National Fund for Women exists to change that. At NFW, we provide immediate, practical support for American women while building the collective power to make our needs impossible to ignore.
Why Donations Matter
NFW is funded through a combination of membership dues, donations, and philanthropic support. Membership helps sustain our community, but donations make it possible for us to expand direct support, fund microgrants, build new programs, and reach more women nationwide. We’re building this organization independently and intentionally, which means public support is essential to our long-term sustainability.

The National Fund for Women is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our work focuses on providing immediate, practical support for women while building long-term infrastructure around the issues that shape women’s lives. Today, we focus on providing immediate, practical support. Over time, we’ll help advance solutions to the issues our members care about.
Some come for help, some come to support.
Some women come to NFW because they need support. Others because they want to help build stronger support systems for women everywhere. Many understand both experiences personally. Our goal is simple: Make practical support more accessible, more human, and more sustainable for women across the country.
